David Perkins: Texas' Aggregates, Concrete and Cement Industries

Texas’ unprecedented population growth means there is great demand for the raw materials that help residents and businesses grow and thrive. With such growth comes growing pains. For example, how should the state supply and fund the building of our bridges, roads, homes and hospitals? The Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association (TACA) is right in the middle of this discussion, representing members who are the main resource for necessary infrastructure materials, including 75% of the ready-mix, 80% of the aggregates and 100% of the cement producers in the state.
